Poll finds Obama pulling away from Romney in New Jersey
In a presidential selection matchup, President Obama would pre-empt former Massachusetts Republican governor Mitt Romney in New Jersey by 25 interest points, 56 percent to 31 percent, according to a Rutgers-Eagleton Canvass released Thursday.
Obama has gained 6 points on Romney since December.

Lawmakers receive threatening letters -- officials

A fistful of lawmakers, including House Keynoter John Boehner, have received menacing letters in the last few days with an unidentified virtuous powdery substance and more may be on the way, law enforcement officials told CBS Information Wednesday.
In addition Boehner, at least one lawmaker from Wisconsin and a senator from Indiana have received the letters at their division offices, with more expected to receive additional letters, the officials said.
"Those letters (already received) were tested and the assets found to be harmless," said Terrance Gainer, Senate Sergeant at Arms.
In a symbol to the Senate community, Gainer, the judicature's chief law enforcement official, said the founder of the letters suggested some of these letters yet to get there come at Senate offices "may contain an verifiable harmful material."
"Although all letters received thus far have proved non-toxic, it is essential that we treat every piece of suspecting mail as if it may, in fact, be harmful," Gainer wrote in his memo to the Senate community.
