Broad daylight-saving time

Daylight-cache time will begin on Sunday morning. Be certain to set your clocks ahead one hour before prospering to bed on Saturday night.

Temple services

Place Mizpah, 849 Chestnut St., will have Purim and Shabbat services at 7 p.m. tonight. Rabbi Murray Berger will direction the services. An oneg Shabbat will keep abreast of. For more information call 325-672-8225.

Christian Writers, Scholars Series

The Episcopal Church of the Unearthly Rest, 602 Meander St., continues its five-week speakers' series exploring the effort of important English Christian writers and scholars, as part of a historic Evensong choral service at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Dr. Mikee Delony, Allied Professor of English at ACU, will be discussing J.R.R. Tolkien, who is in the most suitable way known as the author of The Hobbit and The Duke of the Rings. Tour of Jerusalem

Join Zion Lutheran Church, 2801 Antilley Passage, on a tour of "Jerusalem at Passover — A Lenten Travel," a series of special services Wednesday evenings during Lent. A coalition meal will be served at 6 p.m. followed by the help with communion at 7 p.m. Topic for Wednesday is "Third Restrain, The Palace of the High Priest."

The Retail Panel of the Park Ridge Chamber of Business presents First Fridays, a series of town events to provide an evening of art, music shopping and dining for court residents. Activities are planned for Uptown and South Deposit area shops and restaurants, most of which are present specials for each event. Each event takes rooms on the first Friday of the month. Highlighted merchants register Affresco, All on the Road Catering, Around the Faction Cigars & Gifts, Brickton Art Center, Jason’s Deli, Like New Auto Spa, OnView, Pickwick Restaurant, Pickwick Theater, Raffia Gifts, Solid Mountain Chocolate Factory, TeaLula, 2 Sisters Boutique, Vine Row Candles, WineStyles.
