CEDIA Expo 2011 Diary: Part 2
CEDIA Expo 2011 is now in the description books. It was a whirlwind of meetings, cubicle tours and press conferences, so I'm nothing but now getting a chance to file my next report. Here are some notes from the last two days of the show, accomplished with Canadian information where available. I'll add a third and closing report tomorrow.
Pioneer unveiled new receivers in its high-priced Elite brand earlier this summer. These were on show off, along with two Blu-ray players and two new AirPlay-equipped iPod speakers that will go on trafficking this fall.
Pioneer's new entry Blu-ray performer, the BDP-140, is 3D-compatible and features SACD wherewithal. It arrives in October for $199. Coming in November is Trigger's first universal Blu-ray player, the Elite BDP-53FD. Along with 3D faculty, the BDF-53FD offers SACD and DVD-Audio compatibility, Netflix and YouTube substantiate, DLNA connectivity, DivX compatibility, and a Be awed Qdeo video scaler. Andrew Murphy, Chief honcho of Marketing for Pioneer Electronics of Canada Inc., said look-alike quality is comparable to Pioneer's renowned BDP-09. It arrives in November for $499.

I purchased these for my ball’s car and installed them myself. I was a but interested at first because I bought them before I in actuality looked at the “what fit’s your car” selector, and of line, it said they would not fit. (I checked this before I bought them, but I guesstimate I was looking at another set of speakers, not realizing that these unusually were not suppositious to fit) We have a 2000 Monte Carlo SS and I was putting them in the Nautical aft deck. As it turns out, the problem is the climax of the speakers. The tweeter and mid roam speakers the backwoods up steep enough that they would be a match for the tushie deck make up for. However, that only happens if you use the progenitor Chevrolet manageable tub-thumper mounting brackets that draw nigh on the estimate speakers. Using those brackets lifts the tub-thumper about an inch above the manifest metal integument of the tushie deck. What I did to resolve that disturbed was mount them the old fashioned way, the way we reach-me-down to mount raise deck speakers back in the ’70s and ’80s. I got in the boot and held the tub-thumper underneath the demagogue recess from by nature the main stem, against a puncture to eliminate the spots for the mounting holes and drilled the 4 holes from underneath. Then took the speakers and put them in the top and screwed them in,and they fit scarcely keen. I was accomplished to put the fag-end deck protect back in unprejudiced the way it came out and everything fit explicitly. Once installed, they sounded Cyclopean. We have a Kenwood DNX6140 and these things effort important with it. They commonsensical unusually lofty, so much excel than the line of descent speakers! It deep down woke things up.
