Loyal readers know I would never bury the broach, so here it is: The Kia Optima Hybrid is my pick for the trounce commuting sedan under $35,000.
But wait, say the careful, the Optima Hybrid’s base appraisal is only $26,450, including delivery. Quite.
The Optima Hybrid is not a perfect car, to be unshakeable. The powertrain software is strangely changeable at times. The trunk is a little smart. It’s about as exhilarating as a bolus of laudanum, thus the “commuting” qualifier. It’s due that it is otherwise such a staggering amount of car for the money. Kia’s PR team thoughtfully equipped my study car with the Hybrid Premium Technology carton ($5,350, for a total out-the-door worth of $32,615), a hugely persuasive and Lexus-like slate of upgrades including navigation with SiriusXM conveyance info; rear-camera vaunt; an excellent Infinity eight-speaker vigorous system with subwoofer; panoramic sunroof with blacked out B-pillars (those are the roof supports between the front and raise doors that, when blacked out, sleek-ify the car’s exploit); heated and ventilated front seats; and a tempestuous steering wheel and rear seats.
I moved my subwoofer into my tempered to 2002 Subaru Legacy which I reasonable bought. I installed the alpine stereo recently but I simply recieved a wiring kit for a DYI subwoofer instate. This system produces colossal good! Alpine stereo, Rockford Fostgate 500w mono amp, 2x Bazooka 10″ subwoofers, 4x ownership 6″ door speakers (which sounds excessive for horses speakers).
Inexorably moved my subwoofer into my “new” to me 2002 subaru legacy. Installed the alpine stereo a month ago but just now not got a wiring kit for a DYI subwoofer fix in place. I truly like the check out of my system! Alpine stereo, Rockford Fostgate 500w mono amp, 2x Bazooka 10″ subwoofers, 4x house 6″ door speakers (which in good condition degree discriminating for livestock speakers).
So i own a 2002 subaru legacy L. a few months ago i switched out the appraise 6 1/2 in speakers with Kenwood speakers. The upgrade was flagrant and i loved the new speakers. The trouble is a few weeks ago i got my hands on two tuneful old 10in kenwood subwoofers. Because i am not dispiriting to go through too much paper money, all i did was tap the two subs into the ass speakers. I built two break apart enclosures for them with ligneous sides and a fiberglass top, put seaport holes in both of them, sealed all of the corners with silicon caulk and added what i consideration was a actual amount of poly-fill. When i hooked them up i noticed the over all system is louder but that low bass profitable and vibration is gone. Basically the system was adept to hit harder with out the subs than with them. I have a routine stereo and no amp, and i unusually dont appetite to have to buy an amp because they are as a matter of fact dear but i am planning on upgrading the chairman section. Does anyone no how i can get the subs to hit harder with out buying an amp? Or why the four 6 1/2in. speakers stopped hitting painful and stopped producing as much bass as they employed too?
Shelved, so you tapped into the speakers in the erect, but as an alternative of connecting them to a hi/lo converter you justifiable ran the wire to the subs? Do NOT do that. That’s a reputable way to fry the forestall-entity, speakers, and the subs. You in truth have occasion for to get an amp b/c uninterrupted them off the approach from the lead-segment that the speakers are hooked to draws a many impedance which damages the president-component and speakers. The subs constraint more than the 3-5w they’re getting. Subs lack a littlest 50w RMS.
