Burglars break into four cars at Mountain View apartment complex

Police received a call 8 a.m. Wednesday of a mechanism burglary at the Brookside Park apartments at 600 Rainbow Energy, police spokeswoman Liz Wylie said on Thursday.

In a neighbourhood carport, the window of another car was smashed and two jackets stolen from it, Wylie said.

The dubious or suspects broke into a third vehicle by slip through a convertible's top. A purse left discernible inside the car had been taken, but was found on the ground with its contents strewn about. Nothing was missing from the wallet, Wylie said.

The fourth burglarized conveyance, a Mazda sedan, was unlocked. The channel's owner told the officer he kept his car unlocked so that a potential second-storey man would just open the door rather than bust a window, Wylie said.
